This glass tile and driftwood end table blends beach and rustic styles to create a wonderful, story-filled end or entryway feature.
The legs of the table are collected from the Big River watershed in Mendocino, California. Each piece is crisscrossed with designs left by wood-boring bugs and weathered through years floating in the ocean. Naturally twisty and unique, the legs are sanded, lightly stained, and glossy sealant was applied to be long-lasting and easy-to-clean.
The tabletop is rimmed with French Oak wood staves that were in wine tanks from wineries in Sonoma County. The staves were used in various stages of fermentation to add toasted wood and other complex flavors to the wine. After floating in wine tanks for up to 12 months, the staves were recovered, planed, stained, and sealed.
This table is 12" square and 22" tall.
